The project “Physical activity (PA) in non-communicable disease prevention in Vietnam” is funded by SIDA (Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency) and implemented by The Swedish Medical University Karolinska Instiutet and Hanoi Medical University.

  • Different ways of evaluating media activities were brought up.
  • A training course for journalists were held creating opportunities to share experiences in communication on health in general and physical activity in particular
  • A rasing awareness campaign took part late 2012 until February 2013 in which the key message “Move for health and happiness” was delivered via a number of means: posters displayed in the lobby of hospitals, cliniques, Hanoi Medical University, Hai Phong Medical University. Audio-visual presentations played an important role in the campaign as official song, promo videos and placed the key message into diversified contexts.

“PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES ON PRESCRIPTION: FROM EVIDENCE BASE TO POLICY IMPLEMENTATION”

With the aim at improving and treating non- communicable diseases in Vietnam through physical activities, the project is funded by Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency and implemented by the Swedish Medical University Karolinska Institutet, in collaboration with Hanoi Medical University.

With extensive experience in the domain of public health, Danson organized a series of programs in order to raise public awareness of the importance of physical activities in daily life. An official website www.hoatdongtheluc.
com in Vietnamese (or www.pa4gh.org in English) was created and many posters were displayed in the lobby of hospitals, cliniques, Hanoi Medical University and Hai Phong Medical University. Audio-visual presentations played an important role in the campaign under the form of an official song, a package of promo videos which placed the key message into diversified contexts.
